Intake, screening, and counseling services are provided to all ages during business hours.

 

Counseling

Counseling is available to adults, children and elderly who need counseling or other behavioral health services for mental illness, marital problems, family problems, alcohol and/or substance abuse problems, relapse prevention, interpersonal relationship problems, school adjustment problems, or for those referred by the Juvenile or Adult Probation Office, justice or municipal courts, Child Protective Services or regional behavioral health authority (RBHA).

Counseling consists of one-to-one, group or family counseling and includes a variety of modalities depending on the needs of the client. Services are available in the office, home, school or other designated community location.

 

Substance Abuse Counseling

Intensive Outpatient groups are available for adults with both morning and evening availability. SMMHC provides DUI screening, education and treatment.

 

Case Management

Case management services are provided by our staff to coordinate services, assist with scheduling of appointments, development of individual service plans, community resources, outreach and re-engagement.

 

Psychiatric and Medication monitoring services

SMMHC, Inc. provides prescription medication services as defined in RS 32-1901. Medication services include prescribing medication for the treatment plan diagnosis by a licensed medical practitioner.
